  EBAN is pleased to announce that we are launching a new e-pitching collaboration with EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network), titled "Mondays for Innovation". This initiative will serve to bring together EBAN's network of investors with EBN's network of startups in order to showcase innovative solutions to the current COVID-19 crisis. Join us for two different Mondays for Innovation sessions planned on May 4th and May 18th at 3:00 PM CEST to hear 5-minute pitches from companies working on concrete and innovative ways to tackle the spread of the virus! Each session will cover 2 different sectors: Session 2: Home Working and Digital Solutions May 18th at 3:00 PM CEST Sectors covered: Clever Teleworking (i.e. tools, applications or programmes developed to support professionals work from home). People/Population (i.e. population tracking apps, disease spread monitoring, self-diagnose mobile solutions, etc.

He holds a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from University of Liege as well as several post-graduate degrees in Strategy & Innovation and Machine Learning from MIT and Venture Capital from Berkeley.     Lorenzo Scatena  Lorenzo Scatena is the Secretary General of the E. Amaldi Foundation, Director General of Research Consortium Hypatia and Managing Director of a Strategic Management Firm. He has over 10 years’ experience as investor, mentor and board member, having a background in finance for innovation, technology transfer and IP management in both private and public sector organisations. Lorenzo previously served as a lawyer and financial analyst and his expertise in the legal field spans from corporate finance to business contracts and administrative law.

She has been attending many courses and postgraduate masters such as the Specialization Course in European Funding and Projects at Roma TRE University (2020), the Technology and International Policies Specialization Course at IAI - Institute for International Affairs (2019), the Executive Master in Open Innovation and Intellectual Property at LUISS Business School of Rome & SAA School of Management of Turin (2018-19), the Postgraduate Master in Space Institutions and Policies at SIOI - United Nation Association of Italy (2018), the Postgraduate Specialization School for Legal Professions at La Sapienza University (2013-15).     Tanya Scalia Aerospace Engineering MSc and PhD in Space Technologies. She joined FiatAvio in 2002 (AVIO from 2003), worldwide leader in the aerospace industry, as Project Engineer in the Space Propulsion Design Unit, where she mainly worked on Ariane 5 and Vega solid rocket motors performances. In 2005, she joined D'Appolonia (Rina Consulting from 2016), an engineering consultancy company, as Project Manager, and worked in Aerospace&Defence industrial projects. In particular, she was deeply involved in the European Space Agency Technology Transfer Programme, as technology broker. She has been working, since 2005, in the coordination and management of research projects funded within the European Framework Programmes and also had the opportunity of evaluating H2020 proposals for REA (Research Executive Agency). She has recently joined ASI in the Innovation & Technology Transfer Unit.

Financing for Social Impact Online Course

  Important message: Due to COVID-19, this course will take place virtually instead of in person. See below for more information about the format, dates and prices. If you have questions please get in touch with EVPA. EVPA together with France Active, Ferd Social Entrepreneurs and IKARE Ltd have adapted this training to a virtual course in order to respect the physical and travel restrictions related to COVID-19. This solution will also provide an alternative to participants who had already registered. This training on tailored financing for social impact is the perfect match for all those interested in deepening their understanding of the strategies that investors for impact use to design financial instrument(s) and support social purpose organisation (SPO) in the best way. The start date of the course will remain the same, on May 28 there will be the first of three 2-hour interactive live sessions that will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 (CEST). The other two will be on June 3 and June 11, at the same time.
