VC4A and ABAN will be hosting the 7th edition of the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit (#AESIS2020) from 3-4 November 2020. This year the annual industry-insider event for Africa’s early-stage investor community will be fully virtual. This past year has shown more clearly than ever, that in today’s world, innovative startups are part of the backbone for Africa’s most critical industries: financial services, food supply, healthcare, education, energy, transportation and logistics. Not only is the significance and the role of the startup industry clearer than ever before, but the investment opportunity is also quickly being realized with record level deal-making, and headlines announcing a regular flow of exit mergers and acquisitions for the first time. Berytech is organising the Business Innovation Week 2020, a disruptive event designed to bring together entrepreneurs, mentors, industry experts, investors and ecosystem leaders from Europe, the MENA region and Gulf countries to work on business expansion and explore investment opportunities. Scheduled on November 16-17, 2020 in collaboration with BigBooster Lyon, selected startups will go through an intensive 2-day bootcamp to work on their business models to access global markets, through the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond. Berytech is expecting more than 600 attendees from innovators, academics, industry professionals, startup ecosystem players, entrepreneurship supporters, and investors.

This training is a great opportunity to fully immerse into the Venture Philanthropy and Social Investment space. Participants not only learn the basics of investing for impact but also how to set-up an impact strategy according to the Venture Philanthropy approach.
