EBAN Health Webinar: Health Trends and Technology in an Aging Society

This one-hour webinar will cover current trends in health technologies, what the senior & aging care industry wants from health innovations, and existing challenges and opportunities. The webinar will also feature a case study on medical virtual reality. The main driver of rising long-term care expenditure is the aging population which all countries in Europe are experiencing. Currently, people over 65 consume 60% of health care resources. The rapid increase in population aging is paralleled by the exponential growth in the use of technologies. Private investments within this field are soaring in the US but the same can’t be said for Europe. Currently employed as an Investment Advisor for Life Science at Business Region Göteborg, Iris provides advise and support to key executives from international investment firms and Fortune 500 companies looking for novel breakthrough technologies that could impact or disrupt the market. Stéphane Roecker Stéphane Roecker is an entrepreneur, an active early-stage investor, and a strategic advisor. He was part as a top manager of two successful LBOs with KKR and European investment funds. Later Stéphane went from Zero to One, he pivoted from SWOT to Business Model Canvas and evolved from Lean Management to the Lean Startup tools. He was the founding chairman of a regional fund with 35 business angels in Strasbourg. He won two hackathons, in Healthcare and in Data in 2018, and founded afterward several startups which are still thriving. DLT4All Lab Event on Decentralised Organisation

EBAN is pleased to invite you to the first ever Lab Event organised for DLT4All, our EU project designed to make learning about blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies easy. Join us at our offices in Brussels on May 15th from 14:00 - 18:30, to discuss Decentralised Autonomous Organisations – a central part of blockchain technologies and the main idea behind how smart contracts are organized. The event will be followed by a networking cocktail starting at 17:30. Our special guest is Edward Vali, General Partner at Accelerate Venture Partners, the investment and advisory arm of a private family office with a primary focus on transformative technologies, blockchain applications, and tokenised business models. During the event, there will be an interactive feedback session on learning module plans for Decentralised Autonomous Organisations, which will allow the participants to influence what will be included and discussed in future material. Viva Technology 2019

8 events in 8 different European countries: CEE Unlimited, initiated by Austrian Angel Investors Association(aaia), is more than an event series. From May – October 2019, eight CEE Unlimited events connect angel investors, VC funds, corporate venture capital funds & the most promising startups in the region, to create a true cross-border market and to release its full potential. CEE Unlimited is more than just an event series: it’s the first step towards a powerful ecosystem. May Scaleup of the Month Webinar
