About Careship
Careship provides home care as a managed service matching elderly people and families in need of non-medical companionship care with a new category of caregivers consisting of local and vetted high-quality freelancers. With its fully digitised platform, Careship has already served over 6,000 families in Germany and arranged over 90,000 hours of care in 2020 alone. The company is now raising up to EUR 4mn capital (of which EUR 2mn already committed by existing shareholders) to fund its German growth plans, laying the groundwork for future European wide expansion.
About Buurtzorg
Buurtzorg (i.e. “neighborhood care”) is a German startup with Dutch roots which transforms the outpatient care market with a nurse-led model. Buurtzorg provides holistic elderly care by means of small, self-managed teams of ambulant nurses, thus enabling optimum efficiency, increasing patient satisfaction as well as employee satisfaction, translated into lower turnover and sickness rates. Today, the model creates better working conditions for more than 15,000 employees and is implemented in 24 countries, including Germany. The German startup is now raising EUR 3mn, of which 1mn is committed by existing shareholders.
