International Venture Academy is AN INVESTOR PROGRAM for startup and scaleup companies, who
1. want to improve their investment readiness
2. are looking for investment of 200,000€–1,000,000€
3. are planning on market-entry to Nordic & Mediterranean area
What?
International Venture Academy connects first-class entrepreneurs and investors from Finland, Catalonia (Spain) and Sophia Antipolis (France) and Estonia. It helps growth ventures improve their investor pitches, bring their businesses to a state of “investment ready” and plan their market-entry to Europe.
For whom?
Program is targeted for European growth ventures that have desire to improve their investment readiness, are looking for investments or/and are planning on market-entry to Nordic or Mediterranean area. Participating growth ventures must have ready product or service, clear vision and proof of concepts. We have 10-12 seats available at this year’s the programme.
The program is free for participants, but it requires a strong commitment from May to June.

Lead Coach Marcel Dridje
Marcel is a member of EBAN Board and the emeritus president of Sophia Business Angels. He is the Lead Angel and mentor of International Venture Academy 2022.
Audra Shallal
Audra is an expert in Women Entrepreneurship and Angel Investment in the EMEA region. She promotes Entrepreneurship and Angel Investing through programs, mentoring, business plan competitions, Business Angel Networks and Women Economic Empowerment within the EU and MENA region.
Jean-Louis Brelet
Jean-Louis is a member of France Angels Board, lead of EuropIA Capital and emeritus president of Sophia Business Angels. He is an executive coach of innovative entrepreneurs, investors in 15 companies, and trainer at Business Schools, incubators and Business Angels Networks within France, EU and North Africa regions.
Lev Dolgatsov
Lev has been an entrepreneur for more than 25 years, in IT retail, Visual Media Production and Investing areas. He has more than 20 startups in his portfolio and he is one of the go-to mentors for the investor readiness topics. Lev is also working as the President of the Estonian Business Angels Network.
Annukka Mickelsson
Annukka got excited about startup investing during the financial crisis when there was a lack of financing for potential ideas and competent teams. She saw a need for an ecosystem where brainpower meets capital/funding to build new growth. She became a FiBAN member in 2015 to learn in practice about startups’ growth paths. Annukka’s background is in the real-estate and financial sector as well as politics. She has long experience in team leading and board work.
